Located in a typical early 20th-century Milanese courtyard used to house homes and small businesses and now renovated, Maffucci 26 is a very modern and elegant loft on two floors, with a large living room on the ground floor and the two bedrooms and master bathroom on the first. A perfect location, which moreover offers the possibility of parking directly in front of the house door: for Milan something truly unique.

A loft in a twentieth-century courtyard

Accessible directly from the large courtyard at number 26, the loft has a large living room on the ground floor, lit by a beautiful full-height iron and glass window and paved with a light-coloured parquet floorboard, while the ceiling has exposed beams and planking painted white. We are in the living area: on the back wall is the open kitchen, with induction hob, electric oven and dishwasher. To the left we have instead the dining table and the wall equipped with a large smart TV. To the right instead is the large L-shaped sofa and the staircase leading to the upper floor, insulated by a window with impressive iron frames.

The separate sleeping area

The upstairs houses the two rooms – the one with the double bed and the one with the two single beds (one of which can be pulled out) – as well as, of course, the bathroom with shower and full bathroom fittings. Here, too, light colours dominate: that of the wood of the parquet floor, of the exposed entablatures and of the stoneware flooring in the bathroom, reminiscent of travertine. A second service toilet is on the ground floor, where the washing machine is also located.

The house is brand new and elegant: the renovation has successfully solved the task of evoking the period and working context of the building’s origins, with a modern and minimalist reinterpretation.

The entire loft is equipped with air conditioning and independent heating, and of course wi-fi connection.

The Area

Situated in the northern part of Milan, loft Maffucci 26is located in one of the areas of the city undergoing major changes. Bovisa, with the Politecnico and the railway link station, is one and a half kilometres away, while the Isola district, the bohemian epicentre of nightlife and dining, is two kilometres away. The Maciachini underground station, on the M3 line, is one kilometre away, but even closer are the surface public transport services. If the area is therefore very well served by public transport, the same can be said for shops of various kinds: there is even a supermarket a few dozen metres away.
